Captain Olivia Benson may wear monochromatic pant suits on Law and Order: SVUbut Mariska Hargitay just brought out the florals for her latest public appearance.
The actress was recently honored at the 33rd annual Colleagues Spring Luncheon and Oscar De La Renta fashion show in Los Angeles, and she certainly dressed for the occasion. Mariska arrived wearing a maxi dress that was form-fitting with a mermaid-style silhouette. The neckline also came off the shoulders with ruffles adorning the outfit’s sleeves and across the body.
But what really made the ensemble stand out was its floral pattern. The design had pink and ivory colored flowers all over the dress, with dark green leaves acting as a contrasting hue. She paired it with a matching clutch purse, making it a seamless look from start to finish.
Because Mariska always looks stunning wherever she goes, it only makes sense for her accessories to accent what she already has on. The 59 year old slipped on a pair of white platform sandals that matched her dress. She styled her blonde ombre hair in beach waves, with angled pieces framing her face. To pull everything together, she kept her makeup looking natural with simple eyeliner, rosy cheeks and a rosy colored lipstick.
When the actress later posted photos from the event on Instagram, her followers immediately flooded her comments section with compliments. As always, they loved seeing her outside of the costumes she wears on television.
“STUNNING!!!🔥👊💥❤️,” one person wrote. “🙌 Great job 👏 You look beautiful in that gorgeous dress! [Thank you] for your good work!,” a different user added. “You looked STUNNING. Absolutely gorgeous. When I say you slayed, ate and left no crumbs, queen I mean that!! 🔥🔥🙌🏿🙌🏿😍😍,” another follower screamed.
If anyone knows how to embrace the warmer weather with spot-on fashion, Mariska definitely pulled it off. Should Benson need a few pointers on clothing, she knows exactly who to call …
