Actor Suniel Shetty who has played multiple roles on the reel is known to ace multiple roles in real life as well. He is a loving husband, a dotting father, and now an amazing father-in-law as his daughter Athiya Shetty has tied the knot with cricketer KL Rahul. However, Suniel Shetty doesn’t enjoy being addressed as a father-in-law, he says he is a father to KL Rahul.
Talking to IndiaToday, Suniel mentioned that he doesn’t know the role of a father-in-law. He was a fan of Rahul and today they have a relationship, but he loves KL the way he adores every young talent.
The actor mentioned that he has always been a fan of young talents. In his prime time as a cine star as well he used to go to watch matches. Then reminiscing about the time when he saw Rahul play, he was in awe of his game. And since Rahul was from Mangalore, and Suniel always had a place for kids who came from small towns and did wonders, KL’s every achievement meant something to the actor. He added that he knows Rahul as much as Rahul knows himself.
He continued to say, “It is Athiya and Rahul and whoever comes into Ahaan’s life will be my daughter.”
The actor believes that there is a stigma related to the in-laws which has been thrown at us via television, and it is not a great space.
